Communicating with deal owners

Purpose

In this procedure, the Business Readiness Consultant maintains regular communication with the Deal Owner. This procedure starts with the agency agreement. It ends when settlement is complete or at the end of the agency agreement. 

The Business Readiness Consultant needs to keep in regular communication with the Deal Owner because:

  • They need to know that the company is working for them
  • Their needs and requirements may change without the company knowing.

Procedure

Only the Listing Business Readiness Consultant contacts the Deal Owner.

  • Contact the Deal Owner in person or by telephone if possible. Otherwise by fax or letter.
  • Make a written contact plan and keeps notes on the CRM of all contact with the Deal Owner

Contact the Deal Owner to report progress and observations:

  • After every inspection and ‘open for inspection’
  • Adhere to the Deal Owner reporting policy – see Deal Owner reporting
