Purpose
This procedure contains the instructions for arranging appointments for Deal Appraisals and follow up.
Procedure
Following the initial telephone call to request a Deal appraisal, the Business Readiness Consultant sends an email with the listing appraisal form along with a calendar invitation confirming the appointment.
The Business Readiness Consultant should send the template email within 1 hour of the phone discussion and aim to meet with the seller within 1-2 days of the initial discussion.
All new appraisals should be recorded in the CRM under “leads”.
All Business Readiness Consultant should prepare thoroughly for any appraisal including checking recent sales and verifying with the Administration team for industry multiples/past sales history.
At the conclusion of your first Deal appraisal (appointment or digital meeting) a follow up appointment should be made within 36 hours of the first meeting to provide the Deal appraisal report. It is crucial that these time frames be adhered to as the sellers motivation to sell is still very high at this time.
If the seller decides not to sell immediately then prompt, regular follow up is essential. Implement a follow up plan and task reminders accordingly.
